Good news from Greece as Metropolitan Ieronymous has been named successor and the new Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, replacing the recently deceased and highly popular Christodoulos.  God rest his soul, and God grant long life to Ieronymous.

Happy Lent

February 7, 2008

Blessings to our Roman Catholic friends on the beginning of their Lent Season.  Pope Benedict XVI comments on the period of renewal over at ZENIT.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time people have gone to the cathedral buck-naked.  It seems to be a time-honored Catalonian tradition.

The gripe?  The fur trade.  Nothing at all to do with the Church.

It took 15 years, but justice may finally be served.
